What is Deborah Heart and Lung Center?

Yes. Deborah Heart and Lung Center is an ACGME accredited Fellowship Graduate Training program in educational partnership with Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. How does Deborah bill patients?
The Center must follow standard billing practices in accordance with Federal law. The government’s special billing exemption at The Center (200 Trenton Road) does not extend to any other locations on the campus or throughout the state.
The Center bills the patient’s health insurance plan for both the hospital services and for those physician services provided by employed medical staff. Alternatively, if the patient is underinsured or uninsured, Deborah provides assistance in qualifying the patient, or the financially responsible party, for any applicable Federal and/or state programs. Deborah will accept the amount paid through any of the respective Federal and/or state programs and not balance bill the patient for services at The Center.

What should I bring for a hospital stay?
Plan to bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications and dosages, and any relevant medical records or imaging if you’re coming from another provider. Personal comfort items like toiletries and a change of clothes are also recommended.

Deborah participates in the HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey, the national standardized survey for patient experience. Results are publicly reported and allow patients to compare hospital quality across the country.
Deborah also participates in the OAS CAHPS (Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey which is the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients’ perspectives of outpatient and ambulatory surgery care.
